Past Simple – Irregular Verbs

(Geçmiş Zaman – Düzensiz Fiiller)

 

  • İngilizce’de geçmiş zaman cümlelerinde genellikle fiilin 2. hali (V2) kullanılır.
  • Regular verbs (düzenli fiiller): sonuna “-ed” eklenir.
    (play → played, watch → watched)

 

  • Irregular verbs (düzensiz fiiller): kuralsızdır, ezberlenmeleri gerekir.
    (go → went, eat → ate)

 

Cümle Yapısı (Olumlu - Olumsuz - Soru)

Olumlu Cümle:

Özne + V2 (fiilin 2. hali) + ...

She went to school yesterday.
(Dün okula gitti.)

 

Olumsuz Cümle:

Özne + did not (didn’t) + fiilin 1. hali

They didn't eat lunch today.
(Bugün öğle yemeğini yemediler.)

 

Soru Cümlesi:

Did + özne + fiilin 1. hali + ...?

Did he see the movie?
(Filmi izledin mi?)

Dikkat: Olumsuz ve soru cümlelerinde V1 (fiilin 1. hali) kullanılır!

Öneri:

  • Bu fiilleri ezberlemek için küçük gruplar hâlinde tekrar etmek çok işe yarar.
  • Ayrıca kısa cümleler kurarak pratik yapmak öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırır.
